Care Support Vacnacy
The post holder with be part of the Care team and be responsible for many aspects of delivered care.
They will deliver physical, psychological and social care to the residents within the Aura Scheme, adhering to both policy and ensuring the smooth running of the environment. Contributing to the records maintained, relating to residents and procedures. You are always expected to act as a team member, answering enquiries from visitors and professional bodies associated with the care of the residents, and ensuring that any enquiries or tasks beyond knowledge or capability are passed on to the Senior in charge of the shift.
Delivering a high level of personal and psychological care to all residents in a professional manner, administering care requirements to residents eg medications; toileting; bathing; etc.
Become proficient in the Aura Processes pertaining to records and digital input. As a member of the Care Support team, it is the responsibility of all to ensure that care is delivered to a high quality.
You must support co-workers and senior staff on duty, acting as team worker at all times for the benefit of the residents and staff.
Act as an ambassador for the Home in all dealings with visitors and the general public. This includes but is not limited to how you portray the home, its residents, both in verbal, physical and digital form.
Ensure the individual rights of residents and staff are safeguarded in accordance with the Home’s philosophy of care by being aware of the working practices and activities being actioned.
To answer telephone calls, when there is clearly no-one else available to ensure an efficient telephone and enquiry service to the general public and relatives, and taking accurate messages when required.
Maintain resident, staff and business confidentiality at all times
Maintain an awareness of the Health and Safety requirements.
Work individually and within the team to provide the necessary back up for all staff, to a standard commensurate with aims and objectives of the Home and in consideration of its residents.
Observe and maintain high levels of communication within the teams of staff, individual colleagues and residents.
Maintain resident and business confidentiality at all times.
To carry out any reasonable management requests and duties when requested.
To undertake any additional training and development programmes the Home may consider appropriate to enhance your contribution to the work at this home. Such training ensures that you are competent to complete your role to the standard that Aura Care Living expects.
To be involved in a review on a regular basis that looks at your job description and be part of it’s ever evolving nature.

Be accountable to your Manager for all areas of your duties and responsibilities. This accountability will be expressed through:
Regular one to one supervisions (at least 6 times per year) and team meetings with the Manager and other members of the team.
An annual appraisal meeting at which personal targets will be set and monitored.
