Aura Care Living have a luxury care home situated in the heart of Camberley in Surrey called Kings Lodge. Surrounding the town are many glorious places to go and eat and drink. Here we take a look at the coffee and tea options
1. Thyme by the River, Molesey Boat Club
Something a little different to finish with this coffee shop within the clubroom of Molesey Boat Club. Found alongside the Thames, they have a river deck and tea room and it’s just an idyllic place to watch the world go by.
2. Nest Home & Cafe, Ripley
Ripley villagers are rather spoilt, as these next two entries will attest to. First up, Nest draws people from far and wide as a “lifestyle destination with a difference.” Whether looking to enjoy a superb Italian coffee or a browse of their antiques, tableware, home accessories and gifts from around the world, it’s a must-visit.
3. Krema Coffee House, Farnham
With riverside walks and Farnham Maltings only a coffee bean flick away, it’s all about location, location, location with Krema, a popular independent coffee shop on Downing Street – in fact, Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer popped in recently for a cup of their best while filming.
4. Beano, Guildford
Despite being much talked about, The Beano remains something of a hidden gem even for many people who live and work in Guildford. Only opening at lunchtimes at The Guildford Institute, This is a particular favourite with Aura Care Living as we have sponsored the Literary Festival held in Guildford. It is also extremely close to the care home in Camberley.
5. Hemingways, Haslemere
Far more than a mere coffee house this, Hemingways is a one-stop shop of entertainment – some refer to it as “Jekyll & Hyde” because between 5pm and 6pm each day this coffee shop transforms itself into a wine bar and continues on into the night.
