Aura Care Living resident Marjorie Smith (89) had made a wish on the Care Home’s wishing tree to see Cliff Richard. Seeing this, the Home worked with the family who then emailed Sir Cliff’s manager.

Thinking no more of it, the family went on with their regular life only to be suprised when Sir Cliff sent back a lovely video wishing Marjorie well.

The video was shown to Marjorie and she was overwhemled with joy. “It brought tears to my eyes” she exclaimed when she was shown the video.

Aura Care Living’s CEO Linda Lloyd expressed: “We are overjoyed with the kindness shown by Sir Cliff Richard who sent this video. The Aura Care Living wishing tree is a lovely idea, and thanks to Marjorie’s family, they have helped make her dreams come true. 2020 has been a challenging year for Care Home residents, and we are overwhelmed by the kindness shown by Sir Cliff to help continue to lift the spirits of our wonderful Marjorie.”
