We believe moving into a care home shouldn’t mean stepping away from the world. Our residential care provides long-term care combined with genuine companionship and purposeful activities with no rigid routines or schedules. And, our dedicated team provides seamless, round-the-clock support when, if, and how it’s needed.
In practice
What residential care means at Aura.
Residential care at Aura is for people who find managing a household alone no longer sustainable or fulfilling. At Aura, you move into a private suite, keep your own things, and join the rest of the home at your own pace. You continue to be you, but support is always there when you need it.
Your Suite: Move into a premium private space, personalise it with your own things, and join our vibrant community when you wish.
Your Routines: Whether you like to be out in the garden by 8:00 AM or spend your morning with the paper, the choice is always yours.
Your Carer: Behind the scenes, a dedicated, named carer will keep your care plan up to date - reviewed monthly with you and your family - and our clinical lead is on hand for anything that needs medical judgement.

Three cooked meals a day, seasonal menus, plus tea and home baking around the clock.

Personal care, 24/7
Help with bathing, dressing, mobility — exactly as much or as little as needed, by carers who know you.

Medication management
Audited weekly by our clinical team and reviewed quarterly with your GP.

Housekeeping and laundry
Twice-weekly cleans, daily linen, personal laundry returned within twenty-four hours.

A full weekly programme; opt in or out as you please. Mini-bus to the centre of Cirencester once per week.

There’s no perfect time to move into residential care. Most of our residents come when they find it harder to maintain their house, taking energy away from the things they love doing. Aura becomes their next step. They can keep their independence, and we take care of everything else.

Common questions
The questions families ask us most.
- Can I bring my own furniture into my room?
- Yes. A member of the team will discuss this with you. Our Maintenance team will help move your items into your room and hang pictures, etc.
- Are pets allowed?
- Small pets are welcome subject to the home and an introductory visit. We have several resident cats and at least one terrier already on staff.
- What happens if my care needs increase?
- All six Aura pathways are available within both our homes, so most residents never have to move again. Your care plan is reviewed monthly with you and your family.
